When it comes to the annual IT planning process, IT organizations are facing a real struggle. In fact, 85 percent of IT leaders say changes are being made to the annual plan several times a year, according to a recent CIO.com poll.

Whether this disconnect is caused by overcommitted resources or a lack of IT input into priorities and capacity, IT leaders are clearly ready to make a change in planning for the unplanned.

No doubt, continuous planning can help IT respond to market needs with agility – in addition to helping you be smart about trade-offs. Of those surveyed by CIO.com, 49 percent say refining ITs adaptability to meet new demands is key.
