Connect Agile Teams Using Different Agile Tools and Workflows

Agile ways of working and the creation of agile teams have produced positive results, so how do you now leverage that success and expand it across disparate teams to accelerate delivery in support of larger programs and strategic initiatives?

The challenge is helping multiple teams that use disparate agile execution solutions to work together effectively on larger initiatives – without inhibiting their speed and productivity. Broader, more complicated endeavors create more dependencies and require more cross-team coordination (e.g., digital transformations, creating new products, services, and customer experiences, or enhancing/integrating legacy technologies).

Building High-Performing Agile Teams and Release Trains eBook

To help organizations scale agile and manage it successfully, this past week we publicly announced the Planview® Planview AgilePlace Agile Scaler (Scaler). The new Scaler offering integrates Planview AgilePlace with third-party agile execution and task management tools such as Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Azure DevOps, multiple tools, and/or multiple instances of the same tool. Teams can continue to use the tools and processes they’ve become accustomed to, while Scaler rolls up information into team, program, and release train boards in Planview AgilePlace. With Planview AgilePlace and Agile Scaler, organizations get a solution to:

  • Cross-team Dependency Management: Synchronize planning and promote coordination across teams by breaking down epics and features, mapping out dependencies, and providing checkpoints for adjustments and course correction
  • Portfolio Alignment and Stakeholder Collaboration: Create visibility into the flow of work and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with company initiatives and drive investments in support of product, value stream, and portfolio priorities
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement with lean metrics for measuring process efficiency, identifying areas of opportunity, and adapting workflow processes

Agile Execution Tools

Scaler helps you maintain work delivery flexibility for your teams. At the same time, you can extend agile delivery across the myriad, cross-functional teams and departments required to develop today’s complex, technologically focused products and services. Check out the datasheet now.

Scaler includes Tasktop Integration Hub for bi-directional synchronization between Planview AgilePlace and third-party agile execution and task management tools. Tasktop Integration Hub uses a unique model-based approach to consolidate and create centralized visibility on all planned and unplanned work across multiple tools for improved resource allocation and a better understanding of velocity and constraints.

Scaler is a component of the Planview solution for Lean and Agile delivery, and one more manifestation of the vision we had when we came together with Planview AgilePlace in December 2017. Our Lean and Agile solution connects work delivery, lean portfolio management, and strategic planning to help customers deliver larger initiatives faster, in line with corporate objectives.
