Planview’s Week of Giving: A Global Force for Good

Last week, we marked another inspiring chapter in Planview’s commitment to social responsibility with the annual Week of Giving.

Under the broader Force for Good initiative, teams across the globe engaged in local activities that not only strengthened communities but also showcased the spirit of volunteerism among our employees.

Our Week of Giving empowers employees to choose the causes and initiatives they care about and invest their time and energy in local communities.

From Vancouver to Bangalore, our teams demonstrated compassion and dedication through various acts of service. Here’s a glimpse into how several Planview teams contributed.

Vancouver, BC

In Vancouver, the morning started early at the Ronald McDonald House, a comforting facility located next to the BC Children’s Hospital.

Our team prepared a hearty breakfast for families staying at the House, providing a warm start to their day. These families, dealing with the medical challenges of their children, found a moment of peace and nourishment thanks to the efforts of our volunteers.

Later, the team also assembled 200 welcome bags containing essential toiletries for these families. Knowing the specialization required for major medical treatments, these bags are a small but significant solace for families far from home.

Richmond Hill, Ontario

Further east, in Richmond Hill, eight employees from our Canadian office volunteered at a local food bank. They dedicated their time to sorting and packing 25-pound boxes of food.

Over 230 boxes were prepared, each filled with essential supplies destined for refugees from war-torn Ukraine. This initiative provided critical support to those who have been uprooted by violence and found refuge in our community.

Bangalore, India

Across the ocean, in Bangalore, the Planview CIC Force for Good team focused on palliative care and animal welfare.

Their first stop was at Karunashraya, a hospice providing compassionate care to terminally ill cancer patients. Volunteers donated essential items and shared moments of joy through music and dance, bringing smiles to everyone present.

The team also visited CUPA, an animal welfare center, emphasizing our commitment to all living beings in need.

Denver, CO

In Denver, eleven Planviewers collaborated with Project C.U.R.E., an organization that delivers medical supplies to the needy.

Volunteers packed and sorted donations destined for countries like Ukraine and Gaza, part of an effort to bring healing to global communities afflicted by poverty and disasters. This activity connected the team with the broader impact of their work, including seeing donations from Planview customers like Abbott and Stryker.

Austin, TX

Meanwhile, in Austin, a team of seven tackled environmental conservation along the Violet Crown Trail.

They collected about 50 pounds of trash, preserving the natural beauty and ensuring the safety of the trail for the community. This effort not only cleaned up the environment but also fostered a sense of team spirit and community responsibility.

Additionally, Planview Austinites came together to design and fill gift bags with fun STEM toys for the girls of GirlStart.

Issaquah, WA

Lastly, in Issaquah, Washington, our volunteers supported the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank. They helped manage various programs including food delivery and holiday gift distributions, directly impacting families in need within the community.

A Force for Good

Each activity, from Vancouver to Bangalore, not only served the communities but also reinforced our values of compassion for differences, building together, and doing the right thing.

Planview’s Week of Giving is a testament to what we can achieve together as a force for good. Through these actions, our employees not only make a tangible difference but also strengthen the bond within and across our teams, united in a shared mission to positively impact the world.
