Excitement at the SXSW Conference and Trade Show was high! The tradeshow was loud and full of excitement and energy about technology and beyond – literally. We were set up directly across from NASA where they shared discoveries, technology advancements, and plans for future space exploration. We were around the corner from Japanese entertainment firm NHK Enteprises/NHK Media Technology showcasing 8K VICTORY a virtual-reality motion ride with ultra-high-resolution 8K video. M3D featured 3D printing while Local Roots shared sustainable hydroponic farming technology in the Future of Food showcase. We were among tons of cutting-edge innovation from big and little tech firms – as well as plenty of local Austin, Texas talent.
Our entire team was pumped to just be a part of the event and to talk to people about how to Get Work Done using a collaborative work management solution like Projectplace! Turnout was strong with solid traffic and interest in how ProjectPlace could help attendees maximize their project management and deliver more business value.
We rolled out Workspaces, our new ProjectPlace feature/functionality, in front of a large crowd gathered at the SXSW Pitch Stage. Watch the video where I am interviewed on the SXSW Trade Show floor immediately after my presentation on the pitch stage.
In discussing global collaboration issues, I demonstrated how Workspaces makes it easier than ever to add personal tasks that only you can see. While there was a lot of chatter about the different project collaboration tools on the market, we were encouraged by the broad cross-section of markets interested in Projectplace, including film production companies, marketing groups, hospitals, software development organizations, and music producers.
What was the biggest challenge for attendees? Too many tools, along with the lack of project management software adoption hindering productivity for many teams.
Drawing the most praise from attendees was our Overview screens in Workspaces because it provides clear visibility into all your work and gives you a view into what others are working on at your fingertips.
Many of those stopping by our booth expressed an appreciation for the flexibility that we are bringing to the project management space. Our most well-received message around ProjectPlace was its ability to help them plan long-term, as well as manage both structured projects and unstructured activities.
It was a great experience! If you’re interested in collaborative work management, I invite you to watch the webcast we did at SXSW on demand.
