Celebrating Together: Planview Honor’s International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global celebration of women’s achievements and calls for gender equality. This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” highlights the urgent need for progress.

Data from the World Economic Forum’s most recent assessment on women’s representation – the Global Gender Gap Report 2024 – shows that the world will not reach full gender parity for another 133 years, equivalent to five generations.

Planview raised awareness of this critical issue with several IWD activities this year. Read on to learn more about these meaningful events and how we intentionally take action for women all year long through our core values.

What “Accelerate Action” Means at Planview

At Planview, our set of five core values guides everything we do, from daily interactions with our colleagues to supporting our customers and partners. Here are a few examples of how our core values drive action for equality every day at Planview.

We value our differences: Different perspectives drive innovation. When we include diverse voices in decision-making, we create better results for everyone.

We do the right thing: Acting on gender equality isn’t just good business. It’s the right thing to do. This means examining our practices and adjusting as needed.

We strengthen connections: Building strong networks elevates women’s voices and creates opportunities for growth. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) provide spaces for connection and support.

We build together: Gender equality requires everyone’s participation. At Planview, people of all genders work together to create a more equitable workplace.

Celebrating Across Locations

Planview recognized IWD in March by hosting a two-day celebration that brought colleagues together both in-person and virtually. These events, aligned with our core value of “we strengthen connections,” created space for team members across different locations to participate and engage.

Creative Expression and Community

On March 5, the Planview Global Capability & Innovation Center in Bengaluru, India, fostered connection, creativity, and our core value of “we build together” with several hands-on activities.

Nail Art & Mehndi: Colleagues took a break from keyboards to adorn their hands with colorful designs.

Games & Dance: Laughter filled the space as team members played games and danced together.

Photo Capturing: We documented these moments to build a visual story of our community.

“WeAct” Stalls: In partnership with Planview’s Force for Good program, we set up stalls featuring products made by rural women entrepreneurs: handcrafted sarees and stoles, homemade snacks, herbal skincare products, and handmade bags. Purchases from these stalls directly supported these entrepreneurs, creating economic opportunity through our everyday choices.

Mandala Art: Team members painted tea coasters in a meditative experience that encouraged mindfulness and artistic expression.

Learning and Growth

A virtual session on March 6 featured Caroline Farberger, a board executive of leading financial institutions and active investor. Caroline serves as a G7 Advisor on gender equality and brings unique personal insights to her work on inclusive leadership.

Moderated by Cajsa Weibring, Associate General Counsel at Planview, and presented by the Women@Planview and Pride ERGs, the session gave our global team access to expert perspectives.

This learning opportunity demonstrated our core value of “we do the right thing” by educating ourselves about gender equality challenges and solutions.

Moving Forward

Our International Women’s Day celebration represents one moment in our ongoing work. Every day offers chances to uplift, support, and empower each other. Together, we can shrink that 133-year timeline and build a more equitable future starting now.
