Don’t Miss These 7 Sessions From the Project to Product Summit

In October 2024, Planview sponsored the first Project to Product Summit (and it won’t be the last). But in case you can’t wait until next year’s event, we’re sharing some of the key content to catch up on.

In these sessions, speakers from FedEx, Nationwide, Spotify, Vanguard, Verizon, and Planview described their journeys, shared the roadblocks they encountered, and laid out the strategies they developed for the project-to-product shift.

For anyone who wants to excel at making the transition from project-based to product-oriented work, this content is can’t-miss.

Thank you so much for this incredible summit. You combined what would have taken me hours and hours of research to gain this perspective.

First-Ever Project to Product Summit Drew 4,400 Registrants

The inaugural summit, held October 8-9, comprised two events: an in-person experience for executives in NYC and a virtual conference for everyone from team members to CEOs. We had nearly 4,400 registrants in all.

Our all-day executive event explored advanced strategies for digital product delivery, and leaders from companies leading the shift presented breakout sessions. Here are some of the speakers we heard from:

  • Steve Berez, Advisory Partner, Bain & Company, and founder of Bain’s Enterprise Technology practice
  • Mike Carr, Principal, Vanguard Chief Technology Officer, Vanguard
  • Dr. Mik Kersten, Chief Technology Officer, Planview
  • Janaki Palaniappan, Partner, McKinsey & Company
  • Dave West, product owner and CEO, Scrum.org

Our virtual event featured 52 presentations in the following tracks: product operating model, investment and value realization, value stream flow, and organizational design and culture.

If you couldn’t make it to the live event – or if you attended but couldn’t get to all of the sessions you found interesting – we shortlisted seven sessions for you below. These contain:

  • Two foundational sessions from Planview leaders about overcoming roadblocks and proving the value of the product operating model.
  • Five sessions with varied organizations sharing lessons learned and advice for making the shift.
