Celebrating One Year of Project To Product

Publicerad By Lauren Kaye
Celebrating One Year of Project To Product

It’s been a year since the launch of Project to Product: How to Survive and Thrive in the Age of Digital Disruption with the Flow Framework, the bestselling book by Tasktop founder & CEO, Dr. Mik Kersten. With over 23,000 copies sold, the book currently sits within the Top 10 ‘Information Management’ bestsellers on Amazon, and with 56+ global event presentations delivered, it’s safe to say it’s been an action-packed year. Taking a trip down memory lane, join Tasktop as we reflect on the last 12 months and celebrate the one-year anniversary of this game-changing book.

Book Launch Party

In November 2018, Mik, along with his fellow Tasktopians and industry peers, celebrated in style at the Project To Product book launch party. Taking place at the Tasktop HQ in Vancouver, the company came together to drink champagne, eat a giant cake-version of the book and celebrate Mik’s achievement.

Project to Product becomes a Bestseller

Within 24 hours of the book’s publication, Project to Product was already number one on the Amazon Bestsellers list within the ‘Business Production & Operations’ Kindle category. The book was also the number four bestseller in ‘Business Management’ as the day came to a close.

Dr. Mik Kersten takes Project to Product on the road

With over 56 presentations delivered at global events within the industry, Mik and the Tasktop team have brought the house down with standing room only presentations focused on the Project to Product movement. Mik has also met hundreds of industry professionals at multiple book signings over the past year to gain direct feedback on the book’s message and potential.

The genesis of Project to Product

Project to Product arrived at a crucial time in the Age of Software, and so did Mik’s blog series. Mik posted a series of blogs related to the genesis and ideas of book – including the Flow Framework™, a new managerial paradigm for measuring the business impact of software delivery to survive and thrive in the Age of Software.

From talking about Value Stream Architecture, to Mik regaling his visit to BMW Groups’ state of the art Leipzig plant, to a guest blog from Jonathan Smart (Business Agility Lead at Deloitte), the popular blog series provided even more color to the fledgling movement.

Introducing Planview Viz

On the back of the success of Projekt till produkt, in October 2019 Tasktop announced the limited release of Planview Viz, offering the first-ever way of measuring flow of business value in software delivery. Viz allows enterprise organizations to see where the bottlenecks are across thousands or tens of thousands of IT staff to provoke the right conversations and measure the journey to product-centric operations.

Fresh off the back of our launch of Planview Viz at the DevOps Enterprise Summit 2019 in Las Vegas, Nicole Bryan—our VP of Product Development— took to the stage with Jeff Zahorchak from Select Medical, a customer already benefiting from the powers of Viz alongside Tasktop Integration Hub. Jeff has been leading his organization’s software delivery transformation with the help of Flow Metrics.

Planview Viz is available in limited release now and will be available in general release in January 2020 — learn more about what Flow Metrics can do for you.
