Many companies get very good at in certain stages of the project lifecycle \u2013 for example planning or execution \u2013 but not all can do it well from start to finish. From ideation through execution and benefits realization, it takes a lot to ensure the work that is invested in gets the results to take business to the next level. As part of Planview\u2019s global family of products, Innotas is a key component of WRM, helping organizations manage their projects and get the results they need. It is clear that the market is starving for the message of WRM.<\/p>\n<p>At the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/horizons.planview.com\/global\/\">Horizons<\/a> event, we covered some key criteria that influence the genesis of Work and Resource Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remote work forces that interact globally are pervasive<\/li>\n<li>Millennials communicate and collaborate in relational fashion versus a serial fashion<\/li>\n<li>The Digitization Economy is growing exponentially<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What this means in simple terms is the influx of data is enormous, and the analytics and tools for measuring and managing all of it present development challenges for software vendors in ways that stretch thought leadership and execution. Furthermore, those organizations that are not capturing and leveraging the data in ways to promote their business, are falling behind and losing out on opportunity to create competitive advantages.<\/p>\n<p>The companies that will thrive in this era are companies that recognize this changing environment and develop products that address the three areas listed above. WRM is a compilation of multiple product sets that present the technical solutions to the increasing requirements of visibility and collaboration that the 21st century workforce demands.<\/p>\n<p>No longer can we speak about PPM, APM, Agile development, Resource Management, ITIL, Service Desk, or collaboration tools in silos. All of these functions must be combined to create a cohesive approach to WRM, across the enterprise. Each subject matter expertise and technology combination listed above provide the integrated information stack that the knowledge workers today demand. Success begins with relevant, actionable data.
