The Projectplace<\/a> team spent four days connecting with people from various professional backgrounds and countries at the SXSW Trade Show<\/a> at the Austin Convention Center in March.<\/p>\n

\"ProjectPlaceWe met small business owners, software developers, data analysts, film industry professionals and certified project managers \u2013 just to name a few. We found that many of these attendees were still using somewhat outdated methods, such as email and spreadsheets<\/a>, while others were dissatisfied with their current project collaboration tools missing the mark.<\/p>\n

The challenges of these project collaboration tools mentioned by attendees included limited capabilities. For example, one tool worked for workload management but didn\u2019t allow teams to easily communicate with each other. Another tool offered an effective social component but made it difficult to keep track of tasks.<\/p>\n

\"SXSWThe concept of \u201cone tool that does more\u201d really resonated with these visitors. The large, interactive Kanban board was an audience favorite, kept people engaged and heightened their curiosity, especially for those who had never seen a project collaboration tool in action.<\/p>\n

The ProjectPlace team hit the streets with our unofficial mascot, Kaptain Kanban the pirate, and took pictures with attendees.<\/p>\n
