Although faster software deployment is a key benefit to embracing Agile, other teams within organizations like marketing and sales are adopting Agile to improve productivity. More specifically, companies with global teams can leverage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planview.com\/products-solutions\/solutions\/enterprise-agile-planning\/agile-program-management\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Agile program management<\/a> as a method to align objectives and improve delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementing Agile Program Management practices doesn\u2019t happen overnight. This led to defaulting to a \u201cNorth America-first\u201d oriented approach and the international teams just followed suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The challenges included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>EMEA marketers misaligned from overall big picture objectives<\/li><li>EMEA teams deploying different marketing campaigns in comparison to North America teams<\/li><li>Poor demand generation and low impact campaigns<\/li><li>Difficulty staying on strategic goals due to different cultural and time restrictions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These were not new problems, but now that the organization was embracing Agile, it was a challenge worth trying to fix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-advancing-the-agile-program\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Advancing_the_Agile_Program\"><\/span>Advancing the Agile Program<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To counteract these issues, the team took an integrated Agile project management approach for all the teams. Since some of the marketing teams within Planview were already using Agile, the focus was on integrating the EMEA teams into processes and ceremonies to breakdown silos. Leadership decided to align the EMEA teams by region and language to maximize their local expertise for campaigns. Integrating international teams into Agile resulted in significant success. It led to increased alignment between teams, regionally impactful campaigns and better demand generation. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results were game-changing.
