It is the beginning of summer vacation, PRIDE month, and a monumental holiday. An important holiday that <a href=\"https:\/\/mcas-proxyweb.mcas.ms\/certificate-checker?login=false&amp;originalUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.forbes.com.mcas.ms%2Fsites%2Ftommybeer%2F2021%2F06%2F15%2Fmore-than-a-quarter-of-all-americans-know-nothing-about-juneteenth-survey-finds%2F%3Fsh%3D46b54ac057fe%26McasTsid%3D20892&amp;McasCSRF=459c9a4d10e8ffd769d0062146587ca47d780c97b8853fef75809bc016de091e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than a quarter of Americans<\/a> know nothing about: Juneteenth.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Planview BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) and the Force for Good ERGs came together to <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.planview.com\/planview-as-a-force-for-good\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">inspire our employees<\/a> to commemorate the day and support local black communities. We can honor Juneteenth by learning it is marked as a true day of freedom in the United States. It is also important to learn why it took years for the news of the Emancipation Proclamation to reach the enslaved people of Texas. Afterwards you can reflect on what you have learned, how far we have come, and how much work still needs to be done. Our team suggests watching <em>13<sup>th<\/sup><\/em> which focuses on racial inequality in America. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Get Involved&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many events happening on Juneteenth. In fact, most major cities are hosting an in-person event.
