This poses considerable issues for employers and managers as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarizen.com\/uk-employers-unhappy-millennial-work-ethic\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">millennial work ethic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has been called into question across an array of forums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/media.planview.com\/clarizen\/wp-content\/upload\/2018\/10\/Tips-for-Working-with-Millennials-1024x683.jpg\" alt height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallup.com\/workplace\/236474\/millennials-job-hopping-generation.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Only 29% of millennials say that they are engaged at work<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">; 55% say they are not engaged.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jeannemeister\/2012\/08\/14\/the-future-of-work-job-hopping-is-the-new-normal-for-millennials\/#60e743513b8e\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">91% of millennials don&#x2019;t intend<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to stay in their role for more than three years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/chrismyers\/2017\/12\/05\/how-millennials-are-flattening-the-traditional-performance-curve-in-the-workplace\/#427aa376a7c8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">52% of millennials think<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that loyalty isn&#x2019;t important.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icims.com\/sites\/www.icims.com\/files\/public\/A_Snapshot_Of_Competition_For_Talent%20Final_0.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">71% of millennials are currently<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> looking for a new job.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These statistics paint a picture of a disengaged and job-hopping workforce who will perform below their abilities if they&#x2019;re not satisfied and happily switch jobs should they be given an opportunity. This huge employee turnover is estimated to cost the US economy <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallup.com\/workplace\/236474\/millennials-job-hopping-generation.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">over $30 billion a year<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So, what can you as an employer or manager do to overcome these issues and make working with millennials a success? To start, try following these tips to get the most out of your (relatively) younger workforce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Provide Opportunities for Advancement<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The &#x201C;problem&#x201D; with millennials is that, if anything, they are too ambitious, which can border on impatience at times.
