As a result, we\u2019ve reduced rework and are delivering new product programs faster, with lower\u00a0cost and improved quality.<\/p>\n<h3>Accelerating Product Development Flow with Kanban<\/h3>\n<p>Modern automotive engineering is extremely complex: A new vehicle can take 2-4 years to develop, with an estimated\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"\/how-to-quantify-cost-of-delay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ol-has-click-handler=\"\">cost of delay<\/a>\u00a0of about $2 million\u00a0<em>per day<\/em>.
